Who we are
QAVYNEL Tools is provided by QAVYNEL Technologies Limited (RC No. 9938676), Lagos, Nigeria (“we”, “us”). This notice covers tools.qavynel.com only. Our business application at app.qavynel.com has its own privacy policy.

The short version
- You do not need an account, and we do not ask for your name, email or phone number.
- The figures you type into the calculators, including payroll and staff details, are worked out and kept in your own browser on your own device. They are not sent to us.
- Our website host keeps basic technical logs, and some third-party services (listed below) receive your device’s internet address when your browser contacts them.
- Google shows ads on this site and may use cookies to do so. You can control this as explained below.
Information stored on your device
To remember your last inputs, your chosen currency and your payroll staff list, the site saves them in your browser’s local storage. This stays on your device, we cannot see it, and you can delete it at any time by clearing your browser’s site data or using “Clear all” on the payroll page. The site also saves copies of its own pages on your device so the tools work offline.
When you use “Copy link” or “Share”, the figures on screen are included in the link so the recipient sees the same result. Only share links with people you are happy to show those figures to.
Information other services receive
When you use the site, your browser connects directly to these services. Each receives your internet (IP) address and basic browser details, and handles them under its own privacy policy:
- Render, which hosts this website, keeps technical logs of requests for security and reliability.
- Coinbase and ExchangeRate-API supply live exchange rates when you use the currency converter or choose a currency other than naira. No amounts you enter are sent to them.
- WhatsApp receives the message text only if you choose “Share on WhatsApp”.
- Google (see Advertising).
Advertising
We use Google AdSense to show ads, which keeps the tools free. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to show ads and to measure them, including ads based on your earlier visits to this and other websites. Information about how Google uses data is at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
You can turn off personalised ads at adssettings.google.com, and learn about other companies’ ad cookies at aboutads.info. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked for consent before personalised ads are shown, and can change their choice at any time through the privacy link on the page.
Why we process information
We process the limited technical information above to run, secure and improve the site, and to fund it through advertising. Where the law requires consent, for example for advertising cookies in some countries, we ask for it.
How long information is kept
Information in your browser stays until you delete it. Hosting logs and data held by the services above are kept for the periods set by those providers.
Your rights
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and other laws that may apply to you, you can ask to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, object to or restrict how it is used, and withdraw consent. Because the tools keep your figures on your own device, in most cases we hold no personal information about you. To make a request, contact info@qavynel.com. You may also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (ndpc.gov.ng).
Children
The tools are intended for adults and businesses, and are not directed at children.
Not tax or financial advice
The calculators give estimates for information only. They are not tax, legal or financial advice. Exchange rates are for information and may differ from the rate a bank or exchange offers you.
